Digital Temperature Controllers Expand PPR Welding Options

Wenzhou Leheng Technology Co., Ltd. has expanded its lineup of digital temperature controllers for plastic pipe welding machines, adding 2-button, 3-button, and 4-button control versions across resistor-capacitor, chip, transformer, and split-type circuit designs. The update gives buyers a wider set of options when sourcing a digital temperature controller for PPR, PE, and PP pipe fusion equipment.

The controllers are built around a PTC heating element and a digital LED display that shows the working temperature in real time. Each digital temperature controller board connects to the heating unit through a fixed terminal layout, with a constant-temperature control mode designed to hold the set point during continuous welding cycles. Buttons on the board (2-key, 3-key, or 4-key depending on the version) handle temperature adjustment and mode switching without requiring a separate control panel.

Circuit type is the main variable across the range. Resistor-capacitor (RC) boards use a simpler analog circuit and are typically selected for lower-cost equipment builds. Chip-based boards run on a microcontroller and support tighter temperature tolerances along with additional safety logic. Transformer-type boards step down and isolate the control circuit from the main AC input through a transformer, an approach some factories prefer for added electrical safety margin. Split-type controllers separate the display unit from the switching module, allowing the display to be mounted in a different position from the heating control board — useful for PPR pipe welding machine housings with limited internal space.

A representative configuration, model K2/3RC-05A-07, runs on AC 110V input with 320W rated power and supports pipe diameters of 20mm, 25mm, 32mm, and 40mm. This version pairs a digital temperature controller board with a PTC heating core inside a handheld PPR pipe welding machine body, and ships with a metal carrying case, four welding dies sized to the supported pipe range, and standard accessories such as a wrench and screwdriver.
